New Mexico 2009
Greetings, and welcome to the tenth year of Sounds from the Rainbow, and what a remarkable year it was. The 2009 New Mexico Annual Rainbow Gathering took place near the town of Cuba, in the Santa Fe National Forest, where we were graced with a double rainbow on the Fourth of July—an occasion that will not soon be forgotten.
In some years, I have gathered enough material to compile two CDs of music; in others, only one. This year, however, I recorded several additional hours, due in large part to the extended session at the Granola Funk Super Dance Party Prom Revolution Night. As a result, I compiled fifty-two songs and poems across three CDs: Disc 1 contains seventeen tracks, Disc 2 contains nineteen, and Disc 3 contains sixteen.
While reflecting on the passing of a dear friend, Frank Cook, and the Fourth of July double rainbow we witnessed together, the following words unfolded:
From the roots of rustic truths to the honor we venerate
